PrintMonitor using
Method 1.No network printers used; all printers are connected to a single computer. The printers are shared. The best solution for this kind of configuration would be PrintMonitor Standard. PrintMonitor will monitor print jobs being sent to the printers from any computer on the network. |
Method 2. No network printers used; all printers are connected to several computers. In this case you can use several copies of PrintMonitor Standard, each of which must be configured to control local printers (to avoid duplicates in the central database). Set each copy of PM Standard to record data to the central database. PrintMonitor will monitor print jobs sent from any computer on the network to those printers. |
Method 3. This is the same as the previous (Method 2); however, instead of two PM Standard you would use a single PM Pro. Install PM Pro client on each computer with a printer. Important!!! Methods 2 and 3 will work for you only if you do not use network printers! To choose between PM Standart and PM Pro, just make it clear, which functionality you need. If your business is about to adopt network printers, the choice is simple - PrintMonitor Pro! |
Схема 4.
You use network printers. In this case, you need to use PrintMonitor Pro even if besides the network printers you have schemes described above (Method 1, 2 or 3.) In this case, install the client part of PM Pro on each client computer you expect to use for printing.
